What this tool does
Runs your search queries across AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Google AI Overview) and shows you which websites each AI recommends — so you can see where your brand is visible, where competitors dominate, and what to optimize.
1Enter your queries
Add up to 5 search queries (one per line) — the exact questions your customers might ask an AI. Think buyer-intent questions, not keywords.
- Good: "best CRM for small business", "how to track AI visibility", "compare HubSpot vs Salesforce"
- Less useful: just "CRM" or "software" — too broad, AI results are unpredictable
2Set your domain (optional)
Enter your site's domain (e.g. yoursite.com) to highlight it in results. You'll see exactly where you rank vs competitors, across all AI platforms.
3Pick region (optional)
AI results differ by country. "Best banks" in the US returns different answers than in Germany. Pick the region where your customers search.
4Choose Multi-pass
AI responses are non-deterministic — the same query can return different results each time. Multi-pass runs the same query N times and shows a Stability Score:
1x — single run. Fastest and cheapest. Good for initial exploration.
3x — recommended. 3/3 = always recommended, 2/3 = usually, 1/3 = random. Shows which brands AI truly trusts.
5x — deep analysis. Most reliable stability data for competitive reports.
Why stability matters
A competitor at #1 in one run but missing in the next isn't really dominating — AI is just guessing. A domain mentioned 5/5 runs is structurally recommended. That's a real threat (or a real win).
5Select AI sources
Each AI has different strengths. Select as many as you want — the more sources, the more complete the picture (but higher cost).
CHATGPT
900M+ users. Largest AI. Returns web citations. Critical for consumer-facing brands.
PERPLEXITY
Most structured citations with positions. Best for accurate link tracking.
CLAUDE
Via Anthropic API. Shows brand mentions from training data — which brands Claude recommends from memory.
GEMINI
Google's AI. Web search is internal, may timeout. Citations vary.
GOOGLE AI
Informational queries only. "How to", "what is", "guide". Does not trigger on commercial queries.
GROK
xAI / X integration. Different ranking logic — useful for seeing how X users discover brands.
6Read the results
After clicking Track AI Visibility, you'll see:
- Summary cards — total queries, mentions, unique domains, your domain's count.
- Share of Voice bar — position-weighted share of each domain across all AI responses. Top position matters more than bottom.
- Per-source tables — for each query × AI source: ranked list of domains with citations, URLs, and (if multi-pass) stability badges (3/3 2/3 1/3).
- Show AI answer — full text of what the AI wrote, with clickable
[1] [2] citations linking back to sources.
7Export & act
Export to CSV for reporting. Use insights to:
- Compare competitors — which domains dominate in your category? What pages do they rank with?
- Find content gaps — which queries do competitors win where you're invisible? That's your content backlog.
- Validate GEO strategy — re-run monthly to track if optimization efforts are improving your AI visibility.
- Detect brand risks — if AI recommends competitors for your branded queries, that's a reputation/SEO emergency.
Credits & cost
Cost = queries × sources × passes × 5 credits. Example: 5 queries × 3 sources × 3 passes = 225 credits. Start with 1x passes and 1-2 queries to explore, then scale up.
Common use cases
- SaaS / B2B: "best X software", "alternatives to Y", "X vs Y comparison" — track where AI sends buyers.
- Content marketing: "how to X", "guide to Y" — see which publishers AI cites so you know where to get mentioned.
- Brand monitoring: include your own brand name as a query — see how AI describes you (for better or worse).
- Competitor intel: tag competitors' domains in results to quickly see their AI Share of Voice.
